Our Story
Cristiano Figueiroa founded Cristiano and Son Painting LLC in 2001. From 2001 to 2009, residential properties and condominiums were the company's primary focus, building a reputation for quality workmanship across Connecticut.
From 2009 to 2015, Cristiano shifted focus to commercial painting projects, taking on larger-scale work for schools, airports, DOT facilities, and condominium complexes. In 2010, the company became MBE certified with the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services, opening the door to prevailing wage and CHRO projects.
In 2017, Cristiano became DBE certified with Connecticut DOT and began actively pursuing infrastructure projects. In that first year as a DBE, the company was awarded five major projects -- including the Greenwich Railroad painting, ornamental railing work on the Merwin Bridge in Fairfield, metal fabrication on the Clinton Bridge in Westport, historic bridge work in Wethersfield, and railing replacement at the Stamford Railroad.
Today, Cristiano and Son is DBE certified in four states and holds SSPC QP1, QP2A, and QP2B certifications for the most demanding protective coating work in the industry. The company continues to grow through relationships with DOT agencies, general contractors, and vendors across the Northeast.
